The Last Sunset of Autumn

Some images stick with me for months or years. They don’t have to be epic to be remembered. Most of them are mundane, peaceful moments that I treasure. I can see them on my retina, as if they happened yesterday. Such is this peaceful, gentle sunset of the last day of autumn at my office. There was a certain serenity, a certain calm to the place, interrupted only by the song of the birds. And there was this beautiful subtle glow to the autumn leaves in the distance, from the last rays of the setting sun, something hard to capture and transmit through a screen.

(For those that don’t know, I call it “my office” because I often work or paint in this park).

As always, my go-to combo: Infinite Painter on an iPad Pro and desktop Photoshop for blending and final touches.

Still experimenting with a style I’m not very comfortable with. But as hard as I find this extreme simplification, I am also loving it so much!
